Tables / Java / Flash

by webmaster003 - 2/12/05 10:19 AM

Hello again.

I am now in the process of recreating the entire site, using just tables.

Some people are saying that the Java Applet movie I downloaded www.anfy.com - where about 45 or so photos are rotating on the right side of my site. http://www.bc.anglican.ca will not work if I use tables.....is this true? Or is there a way to get it to work? I know I can recreate the movie in Flash, but will loose the image effects.

Ideally we would like to keep the exact same layout for everypage, from using layers - by cutting and pasting into tables - any suggestions?

Many thanks....

Hi,
I passed by your site just now and it "appeared" to be displaying correctly. I say "appeared" because I don't know exactly what it should look like. When you say Rotating Photo's, I presume you mean the slide show effect where one picture transitions into another. This is happening on my Safari browser running under OS X.3.8 The quality of some of the pictures is less than should be desired though. A couple are out of focus. However, I do have a suggestion for you.
CNET has a forum designed especially for Web Development type problems and you would probably get a better, and more knowledgeable response from that forum.
Just a thought.
