My dream cell phone is NO cell phone. Don't have one and won't until prices and terms are the same or lower than my land line and offer DSL service at charges no higher than my current DSL line, which runs at 1.3 mb/s (switch is 1/4 mile away). Every time you sneeze with a cell phone, a charge is added to your bill, nespah?
Unfortunately, the original posting created a misleading heading of no real value. If you have a gripe, post is as "My Cell Phone Gripe" so that it will attract the audience you are looking for.
MY REAL DREAM PHONE is Outlook friendly...
I imagine there must be a strong market for picture and game phones (ex. my 11-year old). However for adults and profesionals who don't have a need for the latest Uber-PDA-Smartphone, an earthshaking cell phone will have the simple capability to synch well with Outlook directly from its cradle.
Very few people have a real need for spreadsheets, wordprocessors, e-mail, games and cameras on their phone. However, ask any professional (doctor, lawyer, etc.) or your local contractor and they will tell you they would give an eye tooth to have their appointments, reminders and phonebook conveniently available in their cell phone. So why do I need to carry a lead brick PDA when what I really want is so basic?
The Uber-PDA-Smartphone flies well with gadget geeks and executives who get them free from their employer. However, when LG or Nokia or Motorola is ready to hit heartland American professionals and business folk with a real value-add product all they will need to do is come out with a cell phone that synchs easily with Outlook.
Um, I've been synching my fones with Outlook for years now using the softwre from the cd that comes with the fone. Currently use a Sony Ericsson S700i and sync via bluetooth. The ability to sync with outlook is one of my top priorities in a fone. Really dont know what the problem is with this, it's not rocket science! I can also check my email of course, but dont do much sending from my fone.
This Country is run by corp. fat cats not the guy in white house.
Ok here is my point. I am a US citizen. I am originally from Turkey. In 1997 i went to my native country(Turkey) after 5 years. I was shocked to see even the homeless guy had a cell phone when back in USA cell phone was some kind of luxury.
Now in Europe, Asia, Far East and Midleast cell phone is like a pair of shoes. would you walk around bare naked foot?
My 11 yrs old neice and 12 yrs old nephew can not
live without their cellphones.
We are the Losers of the world
Well at least i didnt vote for W Bush, the father of fat cats,.
Note: I didint mean to sound political here.
