I tried the link to No three times. Blank Page: No Link.
Then tried the link to Yes: Poll Results, Yes Posted.
Interesting Question.

There are some drawbacks to FF, but also advantages.
I guess I'm just used to IE.
Opera is sounding interesting. I find that a lot of pages don't load properly in FF. Like my bank. I've been using both FF and IE.
I'm not extremely impressed with FF. It doesn't seem to be faster than IE...usually slower.
I may give opera a go. If I like it, it may be worth paying for. (although those updates are seriously pricey)
IE is like my last wife.... OK while it lasted, but I never want to go back!
Why switch to Firefox when Slimbrowser is a mature and stable product with so many features? In the years I have been using this product, there are less than 3 instances that I have had to resort to IE to interact with a website. The pop-up blocker works well, as does the sign-on feature.
Firefox may have the hype, but Slimbrowser got the goods!
So it doesn't comply with web standards any more than IE.
What standards? Or a better questions, WHOs standards?
Slimbrowser does the job well and has the features IE has not had the time nor inclination to implement.
I switched to FF because I could not reach my Yahoo Mail using SBC Yahoo browser. I retain my Yahoo browser for the news, sports, weather foo-foo stuff since all FF provides for the front page is a google search window. FF is FAST!!
I have never used IE - or OE for that matter - other than when I was forced to. I started off on the net with Netscape, later - when Netscape was taken over by AOL and the development came to a halt - I switched to Mozilla, and then to Firefox and Thunderbird. I have a life philosophy to support underdogs and to avoid monopolists, especially when the underdogs are better than the marketleader (no contest in this case). I also use Linux for years, though currently I am travelling and use whats available. (We have a saying:" In shear need, the devil eats flies" ;-)) Oh, by the way, I also convert all my customers to Firefox and Thunderbird, and they just love it, all of them.

I have been using Firefox for quite a few months now. I find that it is a great browser. I just recently upgraded to 1.0 and find it is even better than the beta.
The thing that i enjoy is, lack of popups, ease of use, and no worries about nasties. I scan my pc quite often with the best anti-spyware, anti-trojan, and anti-virus programs available. Since I switched to Firefox I haven't had any intruders, before with IE I constantly had to remove a nasty.
Now I only use IE to update my OS.

I started my internet experience with Netscape and Opera and then eventually went to IE. I have no beef with IE. It works fine for me and I have not seen any evidence of security problems. This may be do to the fact that I always install the newest patches, I use Norton's 2005 anti-virus, the most recent version of SpySweeper, Zone alarm pro, plus everything must go through my linksys router. I am 75 years old and have only been playing around with computers for the past ten years. So maybe I have missed something.

I've already switched to Firefox 1.0. IE is too tangled up with and has too many variables with the operating system to be able to control what I want.
It glitches constantly, is slower, its archaic. Firefox...hands down!!!! And...as soon as the "open source" system becomes just a tad bit more "general public" user friendly ..... I think its going to be "thumbs down" for Windows
I use both IE6 and Firefox, since, as has been said, they both have their advantages and disadvantages. Many (most) toolbars and nifty toolbar apps such as pic grabbing toolbar tools cannot be installed in Firefox, only IE6, currently.
Firefox, reportedly has better security, and its elegance, speed, and tabbed browsing are advantages over IE6.
Not being about to go into the cache (Unless I don't know how) is a definite disadvantage of Firefox, whereas you can go into TEmp Inet Files with IE6.
I think using both is the optimum solution, as of now.
Hi
I have already switched over and I have ordered all my employees to change also.
All of our Lan browsers have been done too.
BUT. I am now thinking that I did the change a little too soon!
My main reason for the change is the continuous security patches that MS keeps on coming out with.
However there are things that I do not like about Firefox. The main one being It takes over too many properties without asking I.E. default browser plus some of tyhe user settings are not easily found to be used.
