Opera encoding problem

by tri_mpham - 11/13/04 10:00 AM

I use Opera for a couple of times and recognize that it has a problem with some websites written by font Unicode, it makes these words become blur or shadow, even bold and unbold. You can check this result with vnexpress.net/vietnam/home or www.vnn.vn by using both IE and Opera.

I don't have any experience with building websites for languages that use unicode, but I did find this:

http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/opera.html

Quoted on this page: "Opera does not implement any alternative encoding (character coding) that you select from the View menu if the page has a charset specified in a meta tag."

I am unsure if this addresses your issue with a resolution, but I hope it points you in the right direction.
