2.4GHz conflict

by Michael Gail - 10/9/04 6:09 AM

I'd like to make the shift over to wireless but have too many 2.4GHz phones in the house to change them all. What system can I get that won't conflict with the phones and vice-versa?

I got lucky. My phone didn't conflict. There are both in the 2.4 band, but must be on different frequencies. Sadly, you can only find this out by diving in and trying it out.

Many people use g wifi networks with 2.4 phones. If the network seems to slow down when someone is on the phone, try using a different channel on the network. Conflicts only become a big problem when many 2.4 devices are used at the same time - like in large apartment buildings. If you live in a house you should be fine.

I CHANGED OVER TO A UNIDEN 5.8 FREQUENCY CORDLESS, AND I DID SEE A DIFFERENCE.
