Hi,
I have some video I would like to put onto my pc to edit and view.
JVC vid cam with usb, firewire and s-video hookups.
PC has Wxp pro. two HD's with 120g. Asus a7n8x deluxe MB. Quadro 4 750 gl graphics card.
What other equipment or software do I need to get the video from my camera to the PC?
Thanks
Ted
I have a JVC and it's supplied software, while odd does work. Seems like you have it all.

If you have Windows XP you can use Windows Movie Maker that comes with XP. It works great, it's already there, also great for preparing and sending small video clips via email...
My JVC didn't work with movie maker. I may try again later but it could be the USB 2.0 that I'm using and MM wanted firewire?
Bob
You failed to mention what kind of connectors your pc or video card has. That is all I see you have left to purchase. That is, you need a cable to connect either the firewire, s-video or usb to your pc. I recommend you use the firewire if you can. The cable may cost more than the other two but it will be faster, I think.
Good Luck,
Ray
