'Programs' Listing in Windows XP

by traffic_guy - 8/13/04 5:38 AM

When I click on START --> Programs
to get a list of all programs installed on my computer, the resultant display is more than 4 columns and the last column is off the right-edge of the screen. How can this be fixed so that I can see all the programs for selection?

Many you may not need

so you can delete them (for example: an uninstaller listed also in control panel need not appear in your start menu). In addition, I created a folder for like programs and dragged them into the folder (for example: create a folder called GAMES and drag all the games there). Finally, you can change the screen resolution (if you have good eye sight) and you can fit more stuff (albeit smaller stuff) on the screen

What I did--Right click your bottom tool bar in a blank area, click Toolbars, Check Programs--This gives access to all your programs by scrolling--

i had the same problem and found i had to switch to a single column that scrolls-to do this
right click on blank area of toolbar, click properties, go to start menu tab, go to customize, go to advance tab, in start menu items window, check box "scroll programs"
