How do you empty the clipboard in XP Pro?

by Axe56 - 7/30/04 8:57 AM

Greetings everyone,

I've researched the help files, etc. and cannot find out how to empty the
clipboard. I'm aware there is a function in the Office applications to empty
it, but I can't seem to find out how to do it from anywhere outside the
Office prgs. Can someone please help?

Many thanks in advance....

Click Start, Run type CLIPBRD and press Enter. You can empty from there.

I use a little freeware program called, ClipClear. You can find it here:

It works great!

but should still work.
Just highlight a single letter of text somewhere, and copy it. Any large amount of data in the clipboard would be replaced by this byte or two.
