I have but it keeps coming back, Is there a way to delete it
if you find out how, let me know, I have been fighting this annoying thing all week. I have downloaded so many spyware search things trying to get rid of it. I turn it off, and it comes back, I upgrade mcafee and norton, and it's still there..... I think I am going to throw my laptop pretty soon!
hi -
I've checked around and there might be two ways to fix this:
Go to Add/Remove Programs in your Control Panel menu, then remove the 'searchnow' program.
There is also a program called Toolbar Cop http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k -- though note it removes all toolbars from IE (including google if you're running that) after you run that, then run AdAware.

running a single spyware removal program isn't sufficient. you need to run several if you can. another option that you might give though to is to stop using Internet Explorer. it's a very big target with lots of ongoing security problems.

The only advice that I can give you may sound dumb but it worked for me. When I got the Searchnow toolbar I was advised to download the Viewpoint toolbar and turn on the pop-up blocker. This worked and in addition, is a pretty cool search engine....http://www.download.com/Viewpoint-Toolbar/3000-2379-10290349.html?tag=lst-0-7
CNet gave it a good rating -- hope I could have been of some assistance
