network discovery

Hello everyone I am looking for someone to help me find out where do I need to go to turn on Network Discovery. I have WinXP, everytime I do a search everything is coming up about windows vista which I do not have. I am trying to see other computers on my network and i CANT and really dont know how to. Will someone please help me?

Troubleshoot problems finding computers on a home network.

Look the section headed, "From a computer running Windows XP, I can't see any network computers running Windows Vista".
