Infrared recording and camcorder compatability

by padlock3214 - 11/7/09 2:36 PM

I recently purchased the Panasonic SDR-H80, and a Sima IR LED light, but when I tested them out, I found out the amount of light filtering into the camera wasn't enough to really make out anything. I tried to do some research and found that some Panasonics have an IR filter built in?

I need to change direction, but I can't find any good information on camcorders with either built in IR recording, or camcorders that work well with the IR lights... can anyone point me in the right direction?

Keep in mind my budget isn't a whole heck of a lot at the moment.

if you put it into low lux mode (forget what the mode is called) it will see ir light, but the framerate is slow so any motion will be blurry
