Bose Wave Machine

by moranacus - 11/5/09 1:32 PM

Is there a way to hook up your a Bose Wave Machine to your computer so you can play MP3's from your computer on the Bose Wave machine????
Bose has a wireless device listed on there website but they are having
problems with it so they can't release it for sale yet.

If there are RCA or mini phono inputs on the back

just go buy a non-name mini phono to mini phono cable for 5 bucks or a mini phono to RCA (red and white plugs for left and right channels) convertor at an electronics store. No need to pay Bose a bunch of money for such a basic accessory.

There is a small mini Aux In and Headphone input on the back.
How would I hook this up to the computer????

For the reply and link!!!!
It's greatly appreciated!!!
I actually need the small type plug and
Bose told that all I have to do is connect one end of the cable to
the AUX IN and one either to the AUX OUT on the computer (if it has one)
or the computer's headphone jack.
Hopefully the sound will be GREAT!!!!

Sounds The Same

I hooked up computer to the BOSE wave machine to play MP3's and I don't
notice any difference between the computer speakers and the BOSE speakers. Also, I have to crank up the BOSE volume 45 or higher because the volume is really low.

Its likely a variable line out

meaning you control the volume on the computer and o the Wavemachine.

Don;t expect miracles though. In spite of all of Bose's marketing its still just a table radio. Its a pretty good one but a full sized system it it not.
