My daughter visited recently, and we had a 'girls day put" shopping at the mall.
She had bought a pair of shoes. We stopped at a counter to go through a table of scarfs (scarves?) that were on sale, then went to look at luggage. After she made a purchase there, we discovered she no longer had the bag containing the shoes.
We retraced our steps to that sale table, but no shoe bag. The saleslady from the luggage department followed us. I said that maybe somebody turned it in at the adjoining cosmetic counter. The saleslady went behind the counter, and.... yes.... somebody had turned it in.
No way to know who that honest person was to thank him/her.

Being on the door at Sam's Club, I can't tell you how many times people have turned in keys and purses and wallets and credit cards they found in the parking lot not to mention things left in their carts.
