HELP ripped, scratched cd play good on cpu, BAD on cd player

by jandmsmith1 - 10/31/09 2:43 PM

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME? I'm saving my media to my cpu, some CD's are scratched. When I play those on my cpu they play great with no problems whatsoever. But, when I burn a copy of the same media, on a new, not scratched cd-r it plays as if it were a scratched disc. Is there an output setting on Windows Media Player I can change, or a better media player that has the functions of WMP, store audio & video, rip, burn, organize... THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ALL INPUT.

Windows XP, WMP 11, disk tray reads: CD ReWritable High Speed, as well as DVD RW, DVD+R-DL, Multi Recorder.

THANKS AGAIN!!!

There is a problem you need to know about.

Many CD players do not play recorded media well. Your copy may be fine in other players.

The problem is when I rip a sctrathed CD to my computer, it plays great on the computer. When I burn a copy of the same music it plays as if the burnt copy is also scratched. I am trying to figure out why the scratched disk plays great on my computer, but not the brand new burnt disk?

Try EAC as your ripper

See setup http://filesharefreak.com/tutorials/properly-ripping-to-flac-with-eac-099/ and stop at #12 if you only want wave files for burning copies. Remember to burn slow 8X - 16X. Also use good quality cdr's like

Try other CD players.

Try recording at 2X.

Try another make media.
