Hard Drive Issues - Not utilizing my full hard drive

by miloman33 - 11/4/09 5:05 PM

My hard drive crashed and I replaced it with a new 500G hard drive. I reloaded Windows XP and I'm using the new hard drive as my main drive. It only shows that I have 137G Total size of the drive. How do I get it see all of the 500G hard drive?

That's proper. DO NOT EXTEND THE VOLUME SIZE.

Read http://www.48bitlba.com and other places but just install SP3 and then use disk management to create another partition, format that and you're done.

some old PCs just don't support to much HDD space. see if Toshiba has BIOS updates available for your PC.
