I do think its pretty innovative that the digital version comes with better than CD quality 24 bit FLAC files though. People sometimes act as if CD's are the pinnacle of audio quality when in fact they are a 25 year old format with pretty serious storage limitations.

I actually think its a pretty innovative thing to do. Not unlike the way you can pay more to get special editions from Nine Inch Nails. I'm sure the download versions will come soon.
