Help please. I have a new mac OS 10.6.1, and the dashboard doesn't work. It opens, but the widgets aren't working.
Any ideas as to how to fix this?
Most of the widgets require Internet Access.
The clock and the calendar should function without.
Do they?
P
I have solid internet access. The clock works, but not the calendar.
Once you have your Widgets open, click the "X" in the lower-left corner. A button called "Manage Widgets" should open, giving you a window showing all of your Widgets. Each Widget requires a check mark in it's box, otherwise it won't operate. Uncheck them if you don't want to see them when the Widget window appears.
not withstanding Dan's post, do you mean that you have no widgets when you open the dashboard or that the widgets that do appear, do not work?
If it is the former, try dragging a few onto the desktop after clicking on the + sign.
If the latter, which widget appear and then not work?
P
Sorry, yes I have widgets, but the only widget that is working is the clock. I have a caculator, ski report, time machine back-up-tracker,address book, and some other random ones, that are frozen. Some stay black.
