Wireless Keyboard/Mouse Combo

by Donniebrasco - 10/30/09 4:40 AM

My stand alone notebook mouse kicked it, so I am looking to get a keyboard/mouse combo to save my wrists when working at desk. I like the design and specs of the Logitech Wave Pro, but was wondering if anyone knows if you can use just the mouse while traveling? I know with my laptop, the Logitech driver for my old mouse disabled the touch pad. I didn't know if I had a keyboard/mouse combo receiver on there if it would disable the keyboard as well. I'd like to be able to use the mouse while on travel, but would like to avoid buying a seperate mouse and keyboard to accomplish this. Any experience out there? Do the Microsoft combos allow you to do this?

Yes that works.

While some need exact models tested I can share that 2 models I have today and other models over the years have worked fine with just the mouse or just the keyboard or both. The unit I have on my desk today is the LX710 combo. Sorry, I have not tested the MSFT combos but am sure it works too.

I imagine the Wave Pro would probably use a similar receiver. I'd prefer the Logitech over the MSFT models, so I am glad to hear this.
