In March 2007, I bought a custom-made a1750y series computer from HP. It has an Intel(R) Pentium (D)CPU 3.00 GHZ, 3000 MHZ 2 cores, 2 logical processors running Vista Home Premium. I got a free monitor with it, an HPvs17 LCD model.
Since spring of this year, after one would not use the pc for awhile, it would go to sleep mode and wouldn't come out of it, even on reboot. It was a miracle if the monitor would come on. So I plugged it up to an older pc, 733 MHZ from HP and after about 10 minutes it came on. But after that it wouldn't come on. So I am now using an older CRT monitor, from a company called Digital that has been since swallowed up by HP some ten years ago. Now this second monitor is doing the same thing.
I am beginning to think it is the video card, an Nvidia GeForce 7300LE Adapter Ram 64.00 MB that needs changing.
I want to know is there anyone that has had this problem and how was it resolved. Thank you in advance.
