I have Gateway Recovery Management Discs that i burned when I first bought my computer. I suppose they're useful in some way for a recovery after a meltdown of my computer to re-start it. But I have many issues on my computer after installing and uninstalling anti-virus and other programs and have many conflicts. Basically my computer isn't running very well lately. Finally my question:
Can I somehow use these discs to start from scratch and "clean" my computer? Can I use them for anything else?(please no wise cracks, I'm not a geek :)Thanks!
The answer should be yes, assuming they are the OS disks, should be 2 or 3 DVD'S. This procedure should effectively take your system back to default, as it was day one. You will lose all that you have put into the system so you might want to back up photos, files etc to an external source prior to doing this.
