Fried usb devices?
by MontesMom - 10/30/09 12:02 PMTwo devices stopped working after plugging them into a powered usb hub: a laser usb mouse and a wireless usb network adapter. Both were working fine when plugged into a regular usb hub. Got the powered hub in order to use an external HD with a laptop. Could these two devices be "fried"? Could the powered hub provided too much power for a usb device?

Both devices have indicator lights that no longer come on when plugged in. That's what makes me think they've suffered some sort of damage from the powered usb hub.
