help on attatching fisheye lens.

Im looking into buying a fisheye lens for me olympus e-420 digitial camera but im not sure how to attach the fisheye lens onto it? Will it attatch to the body, on ebay it says it will attach directly to the lens but i dont understand what that means.

Since you did not state which lens you have or what fisheye lens you are looking at, I can only point you in the right direction.

Go to:
http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_digital_slr.asp?section=lens

Pick out the lens you have and click on that lens.

When you get to that page, click on the "specifications" tab and look down the specifications list until you find "filter size".

That will be the thread size you need on the fisheye lens to fit on that lens.

Example:

The Olympus lens 17.5 - 5.6 f/3.5-f/5.6
Shows that the filter size is 52mm.

For the fisheye lens to fit that lens, it must have have 52mm threads so that it can screw onto the Olympus lens.

These ebay fisheye lenses usually only come in one thread size.
They should come with an adapter so that it can fit the fisheye lens and the filter size on the lens.
