I'm seeking advice on the following situation:
I'm going on vacation for a week to Port Aransas this Xmas. It's a family vacation get-together, and one of my relatives is organizing a beach-condo. The one thing I asked for in terms of accommodation was wireless internet access. And lo and behold, the condo's website makes no mention of internet access--just cable tv.
I'm the kind of guy that doesn't consider a week without fast internet to be a vacation.
I live abroad and I do have a phone (a Palm Treo) that should get coverage for mobile access, but phone is not a real internet device, for me. Plus the service will probably be real expensive as it's a Russian provider.
What would be a practical, relatively inexpensive option for short-term internet access that I could plug in to my laptop. In Moscow, I could us a 30 dollar/month WYMAX connection (plus 60 bucks for the USB modem). What options will I have down in Texas?
You can actually buy just a USB wi-fi booster which will pick up more connections to other wireless hotspots and provide you with a strong fast reliable signal. Many people told me about the Wi-Fire made by hField Technologies. It's only a one time cost of $60. Let me know if this helps ya out. good luck!!
cant tell you how, just google it! FREE!
