AVG: Link scanner slowing down the net???
Still problems reloading site after AVG ver. 9 upgrade...

I'm using Zonealarm as firewall and other firewalls or antivirus programs.
I have also tried to uncheck the boxes in the linkscanner without any result.

Sometimes I would have to reload a page several times to get it populated on my screen. Something I never had a problem with until I installed AVG 9.0 I finally got fed up and disabled the link scanner as well. Seriously thinking about going back to Avira Antivir

warnings usually couple of hours clicking around,
wouldn't say any have been false positives.
Possible short-term suggestion
is to disable Link Scanner
(while you're still using AVG)
with this layer of realtime protection.
Reinstalled version 8.5 and no more problems.....

I found the AVG version 8.5 uninstalled version 9 and reinstalled the old version 8.5.
The performance is now back to normal.
AVG you have a problem please verify this on your website.
