Errors with Youtube in Firefox
by vifirebird - 10/23/09 7:40 PMToday when I attempted to use Youtube, all videos got the black screen with "An error occurred, please try again later."
Youtube works perfectly on IE 8, it must be a Firefox problem. Is it a problem with Flash player? Other flash applications on other websites work however, such as veoh.com and dailymotion.
What could the problem be? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, and restarting my computer.

I don't know if you've had any success, since you first posted. Just recently, after installing the new version (v.3.5.4) of FF, I came upon the below. I remembered seeing your (unanswered) post and thought to share this with you.
Firefox crashes when viewing Youtube videos
If Firefox is crashing when you try to view videos on YouTube, it is usually caused by the Flash plugin conflicting with one of your extensions. * For troubleshooting other crashes, see Firefox crashes.
Using the Flash plugin with Firefox
The Adobe Flash Player browser plugin lets you view video and animated content in Firefox.
Note: The Firefox Software Update feature does not update installed plugins. See the Adobe Security bulletins and advisories page for information about security and stability issues affecting Adobe Flash Player and other Adobe products.
If Firefox remains open, but becomes unresponsive, read "Firefox Hangs".
