Hi,
We purchased an expensive Samsung LCD TV on 13th May'07 worth INR 59000.00 from Hypercity, Malad(West), Mumbai. Since last evening whenever I switch it on, the display dissappears within 2-5 seconds. The sound is working and continues while the whole screen go off and there is no display.
I contacted the helpline and there-after an engineer from your Kurla service station had contacted and come. What he told after inspection has totally shattered us and we are in deep shock. According to him the part number BN07-00453A, LCD Panel has to be replaced and according to his paper, the estimation sheet cost will be INR 26951. We cant beleive that a company like Samsung can sell such a bad quality equipment to their customers and that too after charging large amount of INR 59000. Being in the salaried class, we simply cannot not afford to spend such an exorbitant amount on the panel.
It looks like this is a common way to fetch money from customers by providing them bad quality products and then charging huge amount on spare parts and services. The expensive LCD TV has turned into garbage before even completing 2 years. We purchased the best available model, both in terms of , price as well as quality and that too from the most prestigious store in the town and had never ever thought in our dreams that Samsung will provide us with such an inferior quality product. We have always associated Samsung with world-class products, but have been hugely disspointed with the series of events.
We are very dissapointed and want to know your views for the above mentioned problem before we can decide what all can be done to save our investment. We are committed to raise this issue in all forums and would like to have a satisfactory resolution.
The Model specifications are as follows -
1. Model Code: LA32R8IBM/XTL
2. Type Number: BP3250
3. S/N: 07013ZDP400478F
I have a two year old Samsung DLP TV, and it has about 40 White dots on it so far and more seems to appear everyday. There are many people experiencing this same issue and all have their TVs for ONLY TWO YEARS, just google or yahoo search it. It's very well documented but Samsung refuses to do a recall or fix this defect or stand by their products. The BBB New Jersey gave the Samsung Corp a C-, I should have done my research before buying a Samsung product. I personally would NEVER buy a Samsung again.
I purchased my player this weekend and have encountered this strange problem. I am able to connect to the network via wireless and I also tried a wired connection with the same results. Although the unit passes the network test, when it connects to NetFlix it identifies the movies that I have entered into the cue for instant viewing, but here is the problem. All of the movies and shows appear as gray boxes with the words no image available on them. Then when I select one for instant play, after several seconds I get the message that this title is not available for instant viewing. This happens with any title I try it with. I have deactivated the account and reset the machine and the same problem happens. I have absolutely no problem with Pandora. A laptop on the same connection connects to the internet and NetFlix without a problem. I am about out of ideas. Anyone have an idea of why this is happening and even better, how to fix it?
Chris
Just bought a beautiful Samsung 58" plasma PN58B550 and a Samsung 3600 blue-ray player. I have a built in two-zone surround sound system and an old (~8yrs)Integra receiver. I'd like to learn more about the new home theater receivers before I buy a new one. I'm very confused about how to set this up. The Samsung manual says that HDTV does not provide multi-channel sound. Is this true? If so, here's what I'm thinking for setting up:
1) send the cable box into the TV to get the best picture quality.
2) hook up the blue-ray to the receiver to get the surround sound.
If I do that, will I lose picture quality on my blue-rays? And, for some reason my husband wants to know if we will lose video quality if uses component cables instead of HDMI? I think this relates to the old receiver for the new TV.
Lastly, I should mention that I bought the 3600 blue ray player so I could stream from Netflix. Does this have any impact on the setup plan?
Feel free to tell me the best set up. Thanks so much.
