Why is there no AVG anti-virus for Mac?

by Larry Launstein Jr - 10/17/09 6:17 AM

With Macs becoming more and more popular, why is there no AVG anti-virus that will work with Mac OS-X? At some point, viruses will start becoming more common for Macs, especially with the Intel duo core microprocessors, and I use the freeware version in the Windows partition. I would like to see one that can scan both the Mac and Windows partitions available from your company, in both the free version and the paid version.

Thanks for the suggestion. Although there are not many viruses for the Mac OS, we understand that the number of threats is growing. Being that an issue of Mac OS itself or third-party applications Mac users usually have.

I'll make sure to propagate this suggestion back to our Product management for further consideration.

Thanks a lot!
