Hi,
I use MacBook 13" Intel Core 2 Duo , OS 10.4.11, Safari 4.03 . I used to be able to check my e.mail for spellings in the past, but for some time now I have lost this facility. Every time I click on the spellings check it gives a message more,it seems, related to a desk top computer.
I wonder if any one has faced this issue.
Will be grateful for help.
Shafiq
Thank you for your response.
Sorry, I am none the wiser!
Using Live Mail on my MacBook 13",I could not see any place to turn spellings(Hotmail) on ! If I click on the spell check, it says in a small box some thing to the effect that the facility of spelling correction is provided as it puts a wavy red line under the word and you could have suggestions by pressing the right mouse button.
My MacBook has a pad, it does not have a facility for right click on the pad, or does it?
Be grateful for your help.
Shafiq
If you are using the laptop at a stationary place, get a mouse, like Kensington pocket mouse, which is small, has a scroll wheel and two buttons. If you are accustomed to the trackpad, control-click is the same as right click. Please make sure this is enabled in the trackpad preference pane in the System preferences.
Seems spell checker is working as designed but the right click fixit was the problem.
To the OP:
In Safari, go to EDIT > Spelling and Grammar and check the "Check spelling as I type"

Thank you all for the help. It solves my problem.
