Hello,
I am trying to use Crap Cleaner. I ran the analyzer and it showed in the items to be removed were: XP, Office 2003, Office 2007, AVG 8.0, Spybot, Adobe Flash, Sun Java, Quick Time, and Windows Log File. Does this mean that these are duplicate files on my computer and I should click the run tab and delete them? also, what items should I check for Crap Cleaner to analyze?
I have a HP AMD Turion 64 Mobile, Technology ML-32, 789 MHz, 512 MB of RAM. The system is Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3.
Not all of them, just a sample or two.
What you choose to analyze is up to you of course, but the link below shows what I choose to check;

Notice I haven't checked any of the "Advanced" options
It may be that these entries are logs, or are the MRU or Most Recently Used lists. The MRU is what you see when you open Word, goto File, and see the list of recent documents, for example.
If that's the case then these can be cleaned and they will do no harm.
But lets see what those entries are. May be a screen print?

Using the default install mode, you didn't change anything, has worked for me. Unless, you have some unique or special needs, you can delete most .log or .tmp files. They are regenerated each time you reboot or access a system process, so they will come back. Just be sure you accept the original setting of CCleaner. I see no problems here, go ahead and delete. If you hadn't yet, you may want to click on the "restore of the OS" and create a restore point before CCleaner has its way as a precaution, you can return to said point if it gets hosed.
