I'm in a quandry. I have a corporate plan from Sprint and am currently using a Palm Centro (2 yrs. now). I want to switch to a Pre or maybe a Hero, but Sprint wants me to drop my corporate plan (about $30 per month) and go with a Everything plan (about $100 per month). My corporate plan includes unlimited data and 3000 min. per month, that's hard to give up. Any suggestions from someone that's dealt w/ this same issue? I know I could buy a Pre outright and it would run (full functionality) on my current plan, but that's like $500.
500 / (100 - 30) = 7 months. That's a good investment, I'd say.

Your only method to keep your current plan is to pay full retail since they do institute mandatory data plans for smartphones obtained as upgrades. Sorry.
Call customer service and tell them you want to speak to someone on the RETENTION DEPARTMENT. This will get their attention. Tell them that if you can't get the newer phone for the same plan, you WILL LEAVE SPRINT FOREVER!!! They will pretty much do whatever it takes to keep you from leaving! Good luck!
Throwing a temper tantrum doesn't always work. :/
It unfortunately doesn't work like that with smartphones via retentions. They need the data plan revenue. Even a high revenue customer will get stonewalled per se.
