Not able to save anymore

by ipashchuk - 10/3/09 1:29 PM

Greetings,
Could anyone help to find out the latest mystery re my iMac in Firefox refusing to save my passwords and my sites of Yahoo, Windows, and Ebay home pages, that I have to keep signing in to? They work on Camino ! I'm on OS X 10. 4.11 Tiger.

I replied to your other post that did not have any details. Now I might give you a better advice. Checking my Firefox, I saw that it does not store passwords in the keychain, so disregard the previous advice. Go to Firefox preferences>security and check "remember passwords for sites". If it is checked, open the password list and see if there is anything saved. If nothing, you may need to remove firefox plist file. Otherwise, you may also need to enable "accept all cookies" under Privacy, and disable "block pop-up windows" under Content. If nothing helps, I would reinstall Firefox or just use Camino. This is a great browser and I see no advantage of Firefox over it.
