Using Samsung TV as extention of my screen

Hi, recently i tried to connect my vaio cr to my samsung lcd LA19R71B with a rgb cable so that i can extent my screen, however i was unable to select PC as the source on my TV, but my PC was able to detect the TV? What can i do to make it work?

wasserstoff1991,

Try updating your drivers and the computer's BIOS, if an update is available. The BIOS updates a pin structure management that allows the television to recognize that a PC input is there. Not all manufacturer's used the pin structure uniformly, but most have fixed the issue with a new BIOS.

Also, your resolution has to match what the panel is able to display.

Where can i download the BIOS?
I'm using a Vaio CR Windows Vista SP1 which ATI Radon GPU.
