If you are there to register a few a domains, I recommend just using GoDaddy or Namecheap, if for hosting, I'd go with a small company. The one I use is Fivebean and they have been very very good with their customers. You can see that our site, http://www.mooladays.com is hosted by them.

We have them on our top 10 list; however, please let me know if you have had issues with this company so we can adjust our list.
