Lots of software out there to resize a photo to inches/centimetres, pixels or percentage etc. But is there a software that will resize your photo to a certain KB/MB size?
Why you may ask, well many sites/forums say you can upload a photo upto 200mb or 50kb etc and it's different from site to site. So I'd like software that resizes to a size I input so I can upload my images etc without going over the allowed size and without resizing several times until I get it right.
So over to the masses, have any of you came across software that allows you to resize to a kb/mb size rather than what seems to be the norm pixels/inches/centimetres/percentage etc
I didn't think such a program existed.
But ... I found one that says it can do that.

Let us know if it does what you want.

Yep this does it, but needs to select the correct settings or you loose a lot of quality. playing around with it found some setting where quailty didn't appear to be affected. once you found the settings you want you can save them as a preset for next time.
I'll keep looking to see if I can find a simpler tool to use but for now this will do, if I decide to purchase it after the 15 days Trial period.
The reason I didn't think anyone had such a program is those settings you mentioned.
You can lower the file size by reducing the picture size and/or by adjusting the .jpg quality setting.
But it makes a difference in picture quality which adjustments you use and how you use them.
...
I have Adobe Elements and it lets you play with those same adjustments when you do a "Save for Email".
You can get close to the file size you want but not exactly.
