Hey
Can anyone tell me how can i receive fax without a fax machine and I know i don't have to pay for it.
Any one have any idea?
efax.com is the usual solution for those without fax capable machines.
This website charge a fee. I am looking something free. I don't want to pay any money. I do have a fax number but i don't have a fax machine yet. So what i want to know if there is some way where i can use the fax line attach to my pc and use a software or something to get the fax.
Both posts say you have no fax hardware. So no.
Again I read both posts without any sign you have any fax capability whatsoever.

No i don't have any fax capability.
Hard to solve if nothing can do fax!
Would you be willing to buy a fax modem for the machine?
i am getting a fax machine shortly but i would like to know if there is a way i can view the fax first then if i want to print it then i can do so. I am getting a HP all in one deskjet F4180. But how can i view the fax first without printing?
You don't have any fax capability in any machine. (see above.)
So how would you be able to receive, view or print such?
Maybe your machine has a fax modem but I read all your posts and you have yet to reveal what has FAX capability.
Bob
NO my pc don't have fax capabilities. I don't have any fax hardware on my computer
I am getting a all in one printer with fax machine to it
Problem solved?

I am getting a all in one fax, printer, scan & copy machine. But i want to see the fax first before i print it. how can i set it up to do that?
Two options:
1. Buy a fax machine (all-in-one, all-in-two, whatever) with built in preview capabilities (don't know if they exist).
2. Buy a faxmodem and fax software for your PC and print from there after you viewed it.
The alternative, of course: switch to email. But that depends on the other side also. Fax is somewhat outdated.
Kees
I can do both with my computers- one came with XP Pro; the other with Vista Business premium....
However, you need to install the Fax utility, which is "hidden" at 'remove or install....windows componentc. You also need a data/fax modem and a phone line, with the computer fax congigured properly...
