My PC is e Core 2 dual porcessor and have 4 gyga of RAM memory, but Windows XP SP3 only recognizes 3.4 gyga of memory is there any way for it to regognize all of the 4 gyga Ram Memory?
What is the use to have high Ram memory if Windows does not recognize same.
If anybody has an ansewer to this would greatly appreciate.
I was told by the tecnicians of the PC manufacture (login) that only if I ran Windows XP on 64 bits or if I change do Vista which I do not like.

you need either Win XP 64, Vista 64 or Win 7 64 (when it becomes availabe). It's that simple.
If you want read more...just keep reading through the forums.
VAPCMD
XP OS 32-bit will report the total ram installed but can only use 3.5gb or less of that. You have 4gb installed, it can use only 3.4gb, that's proper. Google away if you like and find MS answer on this.
You already have the answer, OS upgrade to a 64-bit version.

I know it is for Vista, but the reasoning is the same.
