Ever since I updated IntelliStudio, every time I encode a movie file for any video over 30 seconds my computer freezes, prior to the update I didn't have this problem, please help!!!
Or should I just uninstall and reinstall w/o updating???
Taegugki,
What version is causing the problems, and what product are you using it with?

I'm using this version and using the HMX-H106
Video card now: ATI Radeon X1050
Processor: Intel Pentium (R) D CPU 3.00GHz
As for the motherboard, all I know is that it's a cra**y one...
I'm going to upgrade the motherboard & video card in the next couple of weeks, I assume it's the video card???
Taegugki,
You might try uninstalling and reinstalling the one you know works for now. I'll see if our camcorder expert might know something about this issue.

I uninstalled the update and reinstalled the original, no problems BUT my biggest gripe is that every time I connect the camera via USB, it keeps uploading the same videos over and over again (the ones I didn't delete), my recommendation is to allow a check box so we can choose which videos to upload like when I upload from my Canon Powershot A95 this is getting really irritating and I have to re-delete the repetitively uploaded videos from my hard drive after the upload.
When we change the file name within the folder, the intelliStudio should recognize it, I just finished renaming a file and the intelliStudio now won't play the file (SDV_007) to Mini Tour or perhaps giving us the option of renaming the files as we upload or record???
Taegugki,
I'll be happy to send those ideas to the product manager.

Every time I upload a video to YouTube regardless of the resolution I shoot at, it always come out in the letterbox (16:9) aspect ratio, please let me know how I can shoot in 4:3
Taegugki,
Are you recording in the 4:3 aspect ratio? In most cases, there is an option on the camcorder itself to record in that aspect ratio. Some of the newer ones may not do this by default.

But I can't find the 16:9, 4:3 option, there is one other owner on YouTube that seems to get 4:3 when he uploads directly and he doesn't know how he got 4:3 whereas I'm getting 16:9
BTW: The more I use the product the more I'm liking it, I'm still irked by the lack of a microphone input and I had to cut off a piece of my g/f's pantyhose to serve as a filter over the built-in microphone, it's so good it picks up everything even my footsteps
