Since upgrading to 10.5.8, I can no longer clear my destop. Earlier I had put my image (screen snapshot) files into a folder that sits discreetly on the desktop, but now all the files (hundreds) are right there on the desktop and I can't get rid of them short of deleting them. I can find nothing in preferences that allows me to control what appears on the desktop. This is a serious liability. If anyone knows of a way around this (perhaps I'm missing out on something), I would really appreciate knowing.
and move those files into it
or did I miss something?
P
THe problem, new with 10.5.8, is that even when the files are in a folder, they STILL appear on the desktop instead of disappearing into the folder. Putting them in a folder no longer makes them disappear.
Do you have any other external, or internal, drive attached to that computer?
P
No. The problem doesn't come from any other drive.
