Problems with Safari Update
by pwhite777 - 8/15/09 12:15 PMNow that I've installed the latest Safari update it crashes after being open a short time. In fact it loads the home page and immediately crashes.
Anybody else had this problem?

I do run repair permissions - if I remember - before any updates. I do it every time after an update.

Have you tried to create another account and tried Safari in the new account? I had a similar problem with another application, and it worked in another account on the same computer.
If that is the case - then it has to do with the "local" Safari preferences for that account. Forgot how I eventually fixed it - but that will at least give us a hint as to how extensive the problem is.
You can install Firefox and use that while Safari is resolved.
