What Fn key combo you use, how you adjust the display properties to extend the desktop.

I use Fn F8 which works when i connect my laptop to my tv. I have tried a variety of resolutions by none of them seem to work otherwise havent gone into many other settings. Thanks for your help.

The display properties. Look at Extend my Desktop and try RIGHT CLICKING on the second monitor (the one with the big number 2 on it) to see if there is an "Enable" feature.

Any odd story here?

Like an OS that was not from Dell?

You have both displays on the Display Properties so that's all we need there. Now I just use the Fn combo key to enable it. Sorry, I always have to look at the keyboard as it moves around on machines. I leave it to you for find out exactly what Fn combo key.

There is also times I find people have removed Dell's QuickSet software and this creates an issue like this.

Is the machine just like Dell delivered it?
