iPhoto has been opening up at each start-up since installing 10.5 but not in start-up items.
Deleted preferences to no avail.
Now with iPhone each time put in cradle to sync and charge, iPhoto opens up even though I have
quit it, and iPhone appears in both iPhoto and iTunes.
Running G5 PPC with 10.5.7
(Camera card reader in Epson Stylus Photo RX700. Any connection to problem?)
usually open when the iPhone is connected.
If iPhoto opens, it means that the system sees a photo that was taken by the camera.
Camera card reader is a red herring, as long as there is not a card in it.
Is the iPhone connected when you start-up?
P
It is normal for iPhoto to start every time you connect your iPhone (or digital camera or card reader with card inserted) even if you closed it previously. The same happens if you were to log out and log back in (or restart your Mac) with any of those devices connected.
If this is not the case and iPhoto starts every time then you must make sure it is not selected under login items (under system preferences > accounts > login items under your login name. If it is not listed there or is not selected then you might want to give Onyx a try.
