I need a new cell phone, have Verizon service. I can't decide between these two phones and can't find a person at a Verizon store who can help me.
I want a phone that can surf the web. I realize neither will be lightning fast, so I am realistic there. I read my msn email, click on news and other links, use facebook and regularly post on a forum.
I like the Storm's applications, especially the radio one, so I can listen at work without getting in trouble for using the internet. The Storm's typing seems slow.
I have no idea which to buy!!!
I would suggest the Env Touch because the full keyboard is easy for typing. I currently use the Voyager and only required to carry the $15 VCast unltd data pkg and I think the Storm may require a more expensive data feature.
I own a Storm and could not get rid of it fast enough. The system would reboot. The phone would make calls when locked tothe emergency line it happen nine times. Portait vs landscape it could not decide abd would do what it wanted to do. Compared to an Iphone not even close. It is a piece of junk. Verizon is planning Version 2 and I would put money that it will be a window dressing. Buy the LG and enjoy. Verizon's ability to introduce new products is deplorable. Network is great. Lesser of two evils. Good luck
I keep hearing how bad the Storm is. I clearly just want an iphone but am not willing to break my contract, which expires in May. I used to have AT&T at work and the service area sucked. And the plans are expensive too.
I won't suggest which one but the above site is very good for phone reviews and user reviews.
I would recommend to wait... Some new phones should be coming out soon that would be better than these two phones also keep in mind that with any Blackberry or PDA/Smartphone you have to get the required data plan which adds an addtl $30 to your bill. I work for verizon wireless and am sorry to hear that the store employees are not able to assist you. Let me know what you end up doing
I have stayed with Verizon for years because the customer service over the phone is exemplary. I have had many carriers and never found the same level, or the same coverage area. I also get a 15% discount because of my employer.
I don't fault the store employees, they were busy, and it was 108 that day. What concerns me is when someone gives information and clearly doesn't know what they are talking about, or quick answers that don't answer the question in order to move on to the next customer. I am okay paying $30, I'd rather not, but I'm okay with it.
Looking at different phones-the iphone, t mobiles's G1, has made me think about whether I should stay with Verizon. I have t mobile, customer service was terrible and ATT through work and hated it, but their phones are very cool. When you say new phones, you mean through Verizon? My contract does not end until May, and if something comes out before then I will stick around. Verizon has been very good to me.
