Imagine. I purchased a Casio camera, model EX-Z300 over 3 weeks ago and it came with no users manual ! Is this commonplace now, no manual but a CD-ROM which includes the manual? Suppose you have no PC or no printer? Then you get no instructions. I contacted Casio and was told to send a $7 money order for a printed manual. I have yet to receive it. In the meanwhile, the camera is being operated with no instructions and it has malfunctioned several times and now cannot be exchanged.
Notice my google search words at:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Casio+camera%2C+model+EX-Z300+pdf&aq=f&oq=&aqi=
That PDF seems to find a downloadable manual at http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_manual/qv/en/EXZ300_e.pdf
I notice you giving two model numbers so I'll just see if you will correct that post by a followup.

Sorry if I gave the wrong model #. I have found the users guide on their website but I cannot download it as I use a PC at an internet cafe and of course I cannot print it. I have sent them payment for a printed copy 3 weeks ago and have not received it. Also, Casio won't answer my e-mails. They just ignore them. Frankly, I would never purchase a Casio camera again. The camera also has intermittent problems and malfunctions. When it works, it takes nice snapshots.
Ask your buddy to download that and give it to you on some CD, USB stick or whatever is useful to you. Or if you don't have any PC ask them to put it into a Google document so you can access it there.
Solutions are abundant but the days of a printed manual are gone. Consumers want the lower prices so it had to go away.
