by Josepe-sv - 7/22/09 12:38 PMWhen use the Samsung Disk Wizard on cd to partition/format hard disks, there is a 13inth limit 137GB partition per disk. For greatest Samsung hard disk I should use Acronis DW of Seagate. But not ever have near a Seagate hd.
Exist a new Disk wizard for Samsung?

Let me see. This hd becomes inside a external starage Buffalo usb attached.. but will be used like internal hd.
Not a wizard but more capable.

Let's say you want to partition and format drives on SATA, USB and more from a bootable CD.
I say you should consider GPARTED.

Is a Samsung HD250HJ 250GB size.
Now I downloading a ISO image of DOS CDrom utility, but is only 2.5MB size (can be very small to be useful).
By otherway, I was testing the Linux cdlive and work fine with NTFS for an small hd. Later will work with this stilized Samsung hd.. post later.

The tool is called ESTOOL v2.12a (2002)
This cd dos boot only have utilities like low format, enable os disable LBA.
Dont have partition/format. In not useful for me. There is no other utility available for this model.
ok. Will try the Gparted when the Acronis Seagate is not possible to be used.
I encore Samsung to deploy a new Disk Wizard, with support large hd.
