Hi,
I'm trying to install a 3-rd party application on my L700 which has to use JSR 82 J2ME API. However after OTA download and launching the application I get the java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:ci javax/bluetooth/DiscoveryListener
exception and the application quits.
After some googling I found out that this might be a security issue or some limitation. I've set the all the priviliges to the application via menues and it has 3 certificates in jad file.
What I am trying to understand/get is an definitive answer whether it is or is not possible to run such applications on Samsung phones(if yes than which are affected? How can I be safe from not buying another 'unsopprtable' phone). The application is really valuable to me.
Thanks in advance,
Viktor.
Thanks for links, but this only "works" for Symbian based phones. This doesn't have Symbian on board.:(
And I see where they signed up for this OS. Java can be a can of hurt so be sure the author lists your phone, rev of the JRE and more.
I'm going through this issue now on WinMo.
Bob
Actually author doesn't list the phone, but I theoretically everything has to work due to specs. I understand that this a phone-specific problem. My goal is to get a more-or-less official opinion on why is this happening on this device- is this a developer or hardware/firmware problem.
