I installed Vista x64 version yesterday, and have encountered a lot of problems with the wireless network connection. The network is stuck at local. The most common error from the network diagnostic tool is "Cannot communicate with primary DNS server". Sometimes reseting the network adapter enables the connection to go "local and internet", but it lasts max 30 seconds before it is back to local. The network card is a CNet CWP-854, and I have tried 4-5 different drivers, without any of them making any real difference. Should I go back to using XP, or is it possible to have a stable internet connection with vista x64 and this card?
But let's just skip to newer solutions.
1. ALWAYS setup the wifi per our sticky note.
2. ALWAYS try it with the broadcast flag disabled.
