Hello, newbie here. I have quite a few old VHS's that I value and want to put them on DVD's instead because VHS's are pretty much becoming obsolete. I have a VHS player and a DVD player. Can anyone tell me if I need any other devices or specific wiring to make this happen?
Thank you so much in advance!
You didn't mention whether your VHS movies were commercial tapes or your own. If your own, and they aren't commercial tapes with copy-guard, then you can buy a combo DVD Recorder/VHS player that allows you to copy tapes to DVD directly. If you want to by-pass copy-guard, then the only option I can think of is to ingest the VHS into your computer using an analog-to-digital converter, and after acquiring one, this typically requires that you upgrade your computer and get software, at least if you have a PC. Macs come pre-equipped with most of what you need. But discussions of how to bypass copy-guard isn't allowed, so I can't tell you any more, otherwise I'll be banished.
