My former Laptop, now my sister's, got one of the new "Antivirus Pro" hard drive killer viruses from those jerks who are ripping a thousand people off a day buy selling them the Antivirus 2000 series. My mom had to wipe the laptop clean and reinstall Windows XP professional, which means we had to get all the drivers again, but we can't get Ethernet Controller anywhere, including here. When I try to download it from here, it just redirects me to the IBM website.
I had the same problem with the Laptop (Compaq Evo) I'm currently using. My mom had to break down and buy a USB wireless, because our Belkin G notebook card wasn't working.
Here are the Laptop's specs:
OS Name: Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Version: 5.1.2600 Build 2600
System Manufacturer: Toshiba
System Model: Satellite 1805
System Type: X86-based PC
Processor: x86 Family 6 Model 8 Stepping 6 GenuineIntel ~801 Mhz
BIOS version/Date: Toshiba Version 1.50, 6/22/2001
SMBIOS version: 2.3
I'm not quite sure what all this is and I don't know if I included everything you needed. Here is the model number for the laptop: 1805-5203
I'm not sure if the Belkin G notebook card has anything to do with this, but here is it's model number: F5D7010
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated! It seems like we can't get this Ethernet Controller anywhere.
