Full HD on 720p tv

Hi

I realise this should be easy to answer but having googled it I am none the wiser

I have a samsung 720p lcd tv and am now looking to buy a HD camcorder

My question is will my tv play full HD recordings>

Your tv will only play whatever the highest resolution your tv is capable of. It will play a 1080 movie from the camera only it will downconvert the movie to 720p which will still give you a great picture. It is no different than watching a tv program broadcast in 1080i. Your tv downconverts that signal to 720p.

i wouldn't say that 720p is a downconversion of 1080i. In fact, many viewers prefer the 720 progresive over the 1080 interlace.
