in a Kodak Digital Frame. The frame froze up so I turned it off and took my card out. When I put it back in my camera it says it needs to be formatted but that will delete my pictures. They are of my baby since we had him a few months ago. I can't lose them! I was putting off downloading the pictures and I shouldn't have. Did the frame fry my card? My computer recognizes the card but it shows two folders and when I click on either one it says no pictures to show. Can I still get these pictures? or Is the card ruined? I put it back in the frame to see if it would read the card and it doesn't recognize any pictures either. Can anyone help?
Thanks.
This has been the slick trick for low cost a few times.
DO NOT PASS UP A CHANGE IF YOU CAN AT THAT VERY MOMENT TO GET THE PHOTOS ON CDR.
I had a friend take me up on that idea, it worked at the photo kiosk, self serve machine and instead of buying the CDR then and there they pulled the card and headed home. You know what happened next. It didn't work at home and it didn't work at the kiosk either.

Change CHANGE to CHANCE.
As noted by Snap, you don't want to move directly from camera to frame. Extending this one step further you don't want to move a card between cameras either.
Your pictures files are probably still on the card.
The FIB (File Information Block) is likely damaged.
You need a card reader on your computer and some data recovery software.
There are hundreds of such programs available.
Here is a link to a Google search for Memory Card Data Recovery:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=memory+card+data+recovery&btnG=Search&aq=f&oq=&aqi=g10
I can't recommend any particular one as I have not used any of them.
......
In the future you should not put your camera memory card into any Digital Frame.
You should have a memory card just for the Digital Frame.
Use your computer card reader to put photos onto that card.
Be sure to follow the instructions for that particular Digital Frame for how the photo files are arranged on the card.
